River View Golf plays host to the Santa Ana City Championship Golf Tournament held annually in mid to late September. The tournament consists of two flights: the Championship Flight which has no age limit and requires a low index of 3.9 or less and the Net Flights, open to all players 18 or older with a twelve month low handicap index ranging from 4.0 to 24.0.
